Britain in Depth is a site built not to explain Britain, but to record it through long and attentive observation. Rather than offering guides or instructions, it explores the layers of British society and everyday life — its people, emotions, and ordinary moments — through photographs and essays.
The perspective behind this record begins in Korea. Formed over thirty years within Korean society, it carries that foundation through years of travel across different cultures, and now rests in the long observation of everyday life in Britain. The place of living has changed, but the point from which this record looks has not.
As time in Britain accumulated, familiar scenes began to reveal quieter details, and what once felt obvious started to call for reflection rather than explanation. This site holds onto those moments without urgency.
Instead of listing facts, it preserves context. Instead of judgment, it maintains distance. Through images and words, Britain is observed — slowly and attentively.
